Every day, computers are making people easier to use.
These days, almost all computer programs I regularly use are either freeware downloaded from the internet or some self-written utility. The pages about Free Software will give you some more background about the first. As to the latter, a lot of my stuff is the sort of quick-and-dirty hack that's not really meant for public consumption: no comments, even less documentation and full of idiosyncratic idiocies (not to talk about the last remaining bug).
Having said that, there are few things here that might interest you:
- First, there's Idle, my attempt at implementing a simple, but powerful scripting language. In fact, there's a separate section of my website that deals exclusively with this project.
- There's also some stuff for and about Lua, another scripting language. (The language core of Idle is based on Lua.)
- Or you might be looking for one of my interfaces for calling Perl from other languages.
- And, last not least, there's a page with Miscellanea.
More stuff will be uploaded in the next months (or years), as I find the time to prepare it. (According to the Law of Unintended Consequences, putting something computer-related onto the web means that it'll eat more of your time than you anticipated. Sadly this is always true, whatever you anticipate:-).)
